Convert DRM protected files to be played on portable devices
DRMBuster is a tool for Windows PC users that removes the digital restrictions management (DRM) on certain files.
Even if you legally acquire and download media files on certain websites and online services, a DRM limitation set on them prevents you from playing them on any device other than your computer.
DRMBuster and other programs that allow you to remove DRM limitations will let you enjoy your legal audio and video downloads on your iPod, iPhone, Zune, mobile phone or other portable media devices. The program converts any media file that can be played on your computer for use on a different device, with no restrictions.
DRMBuster works with all popular formats and is very easy to use. Simply open the files you want to convert, or drag and drop them into the program, and start converting. DRMBuster can handle up to 16 conversions at the same time. Once finished, you can play those files right in the program, burn them to a disk or copy them to your mobile device.
DRMBuster's interface is pretty unimpressive, but it gets the job done, as long as your computer has the right to play the files you want to convert.
DRMBuster lets you easily convert DRM protected files that were already playable on your computer so you can also play them on other devices.

Does not work with audible files.
The software captures the sound from the Itunes player. The conversion takes several days and can not be paused, therefore the computer needs to run several days which results in high energy cost. In regular intervals a few seconds (= a part of a sentence of an audio book) is lost.Summary: A poorly conceived software in an early beta phase at best. Does not really add any comfort compared to the available freeware that is on top of all ecologically-unfriendly. Pros:
None
Cons:
Adds no comfort
Poor lossy sound capping from Itunes
Ecologically-unfriendly: computer must continuously run several days More
